The natural state
The natural state.
The true, essential nature of this.
This, exactly as it is.
This, reality as it is perceived right now.
Minus the added idea of separation.
Minus the added idea of a person in this.
Minus the exclusive identification with a body.
That’s why it’s an “open secret” “hiding in plain sight.”
All of this, all at once, uncaused, spontaneous.
No one is making it happen, or in control of even a tiny island of it, not even the body you identify with.
No actual limit or border can be found to this.
No sometime/somewhere else when/where this is not.
Without the belief that it can’t be this, it is.
Without the belief in separation, none can be found.
Without the belief in a self, there’s no evidence of anyone.
It can’t be achieved because there’s no one separate from it to achieve it.
It can’t be understood because the one trying to understand is only the idea or thought of a someone who can do the understanding.
What can happen is that this is simply seen to be the case: Oh!
What can end is just this innocent, mistaken identification with the bodymind, the belief that you are a separate, personal self.
That’s the freedom available.
Most of us don’t want it.
The moment of seeing, is just simply: Oh! I was fooled by myself :)

“What can end is just this innocent, mistaken identification with the bodymind, the belief that you are a separate, personal self.” Yes, but I can’t help but push back on a kind of “simple and ordinary” feel to this sentence. Why? Because if enough people truly saw this (I have no idea how many it would take - hundreds, millions, or billions), it would change the fundamental reality the world finds itself in right now. Crisis, environmental destruction, wars, etc. Just sayin’

Most of us don’t want it.” There are certainly many people aware of what you are saying and reject it, choose other systems of belief or understanding, etc. I have a degree of believing that the majority of people are not consciously rejecting it versus being unaware of its availability…no exposure per se.
And lastly, I’m sorry that even though I am retired my days and activities never seem to align with joining one of your online sessions!
