The body doesn’t have agency though, does it? I find no body separate from awareness. Wouldn’t that mean it’s awareness appearing as a body that was doing all the striving?

Guilt about "not doing" is a predominant tendency, and then, poof. Even the "what I should've, could've" been doing vanishes with the "me". Nothing needs to happen to these tendencies, that vanish on their own!
