The other is not your mirror.
It's not that “You see in others what is really going on in yourself.”
We get these ideas from psychology. They’re based on the paradigm of the separate self relating to other selves. Even “See the other as yourself in different form” is from within this construct.
But there are no selves and no others.
All relating is YOU.
All interacting is within/as YOU.
When there is reacting to another, it is ONE reacting.
When there is judgment of another, it is ONE judging.
When there is love for another, it is ONE loving.
That you and the other are ONE is not a metaphor.
It’s an attempt to describe the indescribable: no separation.
NO SELF, NO OTHER
Only ONE experiencing.
The illusion of a separate self creates the illusion of the other.
And that creates the illusion of relationship.
But there is no separation, so there’s no one to relate to.
Where does "you" end and "other" begin?
Who is relating to whom?
There is only THIS.
There is only YOU.
YOU is indivisible.
Others are not mirrors.
Others are YOU.
All YOU ever see and know is YOU.
Rupert Sheldrake recently wrote a great substack, demonstrating that we see so much extravagant beauty around us because we are all one, and it is the field resonating. He used the example of the beauty of flowers. Your picture resonated deeply with his post. 🙏🏻
Songs arising…
Only YOU
ONE Love.
