That there is no doer means that whether we make excuses and stop doing our duty, or not, is ALSO not our doing.
Whether you will be the character who performs Seva, or not, this depends on your conditioning. "
You are not the doer" means you don't make things happen. You're not the controller of thought or action.
If your character is the type to go around killing people while saying "I am not the killer", then that is your conditioning. Just as if you are the type of identity to be interested in nonduality, that is also not your achievement but your conditioning.
We experience unfolding but in the singularity point or non-duality point there is nothing to unfold, everything is happening simultainiously and there is nothing we can do about it. Unfolding is a mental construct of a non existing self. Exactly on the singularity point there is nothing. From that non-dualistic point 'we' believe ourselves to be the witness of something unfolding but exactly on that point everthing stays the same. 'We' are 'one' 🙏
One more subtle pointer
But in our Hindu scriptures it’s always said:
“Perform your actions or duties and don’t worry about the rewards…”
So, if there is no doer than all of us can make it an excuse and stop doing our duty or,
Somone can misinterpret the statement and use it to kill people saying ‘I’ am not the ‘killer’
How to reconcile that?

Conditioning carried from past lives as well?
And this raises an important question on Free Will
Where is this someone who has free will?
Where are these past lives except in your thinking about them?
Something to ponder upon or rather inquire!
This post reminds me of the Basho haiku- “Sitting quietly, doing nothing, spring comes, and the grass grows by itself." Love this reminder!
All things are together in one place
Each thing is moved thru nature’s pattern of DIFFERENCE
SIGNALs give direction. 🔁
The whole divides in to parts. 🧬
The parts move around and in and out of each other.
.
Like water flowing in rivers 💦 and oceans 🌊 and changing into vapor 💨 and snow ⛄️❄️and ice 🧊.
The water flows in and out of creatures 🐿️ and plants 🌱.
.
Every part is FLOWING, 🔄 and SPIRALing 🌀 round and round. 💫☄️🪐⛈️🦠🧬
Things UNFOLD 🌱 then enFold 🍂 .
Everything in the UNIverse fits 🧩 because
each part belongs to the ONE whole cosmic song 🎻 and dance 💃🏻 🕺🏻
Thank you

Love this: "YOU already unfold...." And selfing says, not THIS!
Love the unfolding ferns!
Perhaps they need some help? 😂
I'm out there every day in the woods opening them out!
