Yes, every square inch of public space is now filled up with words and numbers. There are signs and advertisements all over the place. Look at TV. Constant words and numbers flash in front of ones face, either pictured or said. We spend nearly every moment of our lives bombarded by words and numbers. Such is the obsession with the conceptual mind, which is the obsession of modern people. They cannot stand a space without words and numbers. When someone becomes silent, someone else feels obliged to say something. If there is an empty public space, somebody wants to stick a sign there to give you information. The obsession with the conceptual mind is an attempt to stressfully manipulate people constantly with words and numbers. The desire to manipulate is part of the conceptual addiction of modern people, and it is associated with and reinforces stress and dissociation.
The first thing that many people do when waking up from sleep in the morning is to turn on the radio or TV. They then keep it on all day long.
I can soooooo relate to this Kat! I’m always on the lookout for the next book that will be “the One”. Trouble is, these books don’t adequately describe any experiments. They say it’ll only come by ‘grace’ (luck). In clear simple terms, what are the ‘experiments’ please Kat?
Through the gold top in the picture is the sure fire way to realise the self is not the body and your ego is a dream of a series of circumstances that flicker through your consciousness as a body . Then the pure awareness incorporates your experience in the body and drinks in the experience allowing “ You” to hold your toy until your ready to discard it and embrace it at the same moment of the infinite now . Nothing is lost on the event horizon.
As you say, words can't touch this. And they don't describe any of this. They can't. But of course most people or most people I know, desperately cling to the labels because they believe absent those, their whole world (which one?) would collapse. Deep bows, Julian
Thank you for the slap in the face / wake up call. Because I'm in the US, I see these only the morning (here) after you compose them. They are the first thing I read on my phone, in addition to going back through the google doc of older posts one day at a time. They are really a good wake up reminder right after I've woken up from sleep.
“Finding out is done through direct inquiry.
LOOK. DON’T THINK.
Look as though you’ve never looked before (because you haven’t).
It’s the last thing we want to do but it must be done.”
YOU talking to me?
🚖

That's why I wrote Seeing No-Self. It contains the 33 experiments/inquiries that worked for me and for the people I guided.
Truth or reality or at least the nudges or pointers towards those are not easily understood or easily done.

YES.
Truly divine. Pun intended.
