You can't have both

If you’re honest, what you really want is for your self to awaken.

You want “me” to be awake, realized, enlightened, free.

You want awakening for the person you believe you are.

But you can’t have both the belief that you are an identity and nondual realization (which is completely impersonal).

The price you pay for waking up IS the belief in and attachment to being the person.

So there’s either belief in a self that can't ever awaken.

Or there’s awakeness as no longer believing you’re limited to a someone; no longer even needing to be a someone.

This awakening thing is completely binary. Oh, the irony!
