Wow! Beautiful

Any other pointers to get to that direct experience?

The awareness of the filter did for a while keep the idea/impulse/reaction alive that there was a need for this character/“a somebody” to “get rid of it”. For now…that appears to be not there..at least atm…or maybe less often…or who knows… shall see what shows up 😊

It can feel like the last straw for the self to hold onto: well at least I can stay relevant by trying to get rid of the filter ... :-)

Perhaps it IS two... or three, or even four. All operating simultaneously without contradiction. Seeing and listening monophonically, stereophonically, triphonically, or quadraphonically by adjusting the dials.

Pleasure and pain are circumstantial.

suffering is attitudinal.

I am noticing a subtle fear to deeply relax, alone.

Not as a problem.

I prefer I started with Not-twoing, a mental filter arose (self hypnosis), twoing took over. " To imagine being temporarily something else is to be immersed in Maya, it is to hypnotize oneself yourself.... Come out of this state of Hypnosis..." Ramana Maharshi

I massively recommend noticing in direct experience instead of quoting sages, alive or dead. 😁

Sorry Kat, I totally resonate with you about the direct experience!

Brave, simple, easy, effortless.

Too simple!

Quotes are maybe still like training wheels for me?

I am super grateful for so many quotes:

"You are not what you think you are."

"Excitement is a scam of the mind."

"Only what is false can die."

And I see the trap of using quotes as a pain-killer, or as chewing gum for the mind. The trap of degrading a fresh-alive pointer into a belief.

Thank you for pushing my imagined buttons 🥰

It is so precious to share,

to not hide in mind-stuff.

Addicted to thinking 🤔 🥱 😂🤸🏻🌸

Thank you.

Experiencing quotes.

Pointers for attention to relax prior to mind.

Blah blah 🙏

Perhaps it is the non-dual that sees, and the veiling power of maya (your filter) which creates duality?

Kat van Oudheusden's avatar

Or perhaps that sounds too much like there is the nondual on the one hand and you on the other? I don't know. It's impossible to put into words so I just go with the words that emerge in the moment.

You're right ... it is the mind that separates! ;-)
